Mandarina Duck Shopper Revival Shoulder Bag

Mandarina Duck Shopper Revival Shoulder Bag

The Good:

It's a gym bag. It's Pink (have you ever tried to find one!)

Jon Says:
"A nice bag! Weighs nothing, zips down to nothing, and actually opens up much better than comparable totes. I think you could actually use this for a short weekend at the lake. Did I mention its pink? Great color to really compliment the neutral tones in my beard. Not. I think this one is for the ladies only. Not that I judge!"

Jen Says:
"This bag first came to my attention at a trade show in Vegas. I loved that the bag folded into the front pocket and became so compact. The text on the pocket said " 'Give things a chance' a recycling initiative by Mandarina Duck. The name of the bag: Revival – as in Ugly Duckling turns into a beautiful swan, great attention to detail, I love it and now it has become my favourite gym bag."

Secrid RFID Wallet

Secrid RFID Wallet

The Good:

Finally a way to "launch" your cards out of your wallet. What? You thought you didn't need that!

Jon Says:
"A customer recommended Secrid as the greatest wallet he had ever used. That got my attention! Really ingenious design from this Dutch company who have really revolutionized the wallet."

Jen Says:
"Great new way to keep your cards. Being RFID proof is definitely a bonus, but not the only reason to think about Secrid when you want a new wallet."

Ruth Says:
"These are really interesting! I think the most common response I get to people who I show them to is "That…Is Cool."

Eagle Creek Wheeled Backpack

Eagle Creek Flip Switch Wheeled Backpack 28

The Good:

Having trouble rolling your suitcase down the beach?

Jon Says:
"I'm not totally sure how to spell "schmutz", but it's the stuff like dirt and tire tracks other backpacks leave on your back as evidence they've been worn. This is a really good idea."

Filson Tin Cloth Backpack

Filson tin Cloth Backpack

The Good:

Water resistant cotton + harness leather + American Made = Amazing!

Jon Says:
"Possibly one of the nicest backpacks we have ever carried. I'm a shoulder bag guy myself, but this is sure tempting me to make the switch."

Jen Says:
"I'm not sure whether it's an old "school bag" or an "old school" bag, but you owe it to yourself to check it out. Really nice."

Ruth Says:
"Now this is a respectable backpack!"

Stewart/Stand

Stewart/Stand

The Good:

ummm...its woven stainless steel

Jon Says:
"Really cool looking wallets that are way beyond the typical black and boring."

Jen Says:
"Hooray! Finally an option for a good looking Non-Leather Wallet and a great Fathers Day gift. The RFID blocking properties are an added bonus!

 ScotteVest

ScotteVest

The Good:

Stay organized while carrying more aboard!

"Wow! A travel vest that lets me wire in headphones and doesn't make me look like I'm part of an African safari."

Keith Says:
"I like it. I'm not sure if its considered travel clothing or travel accessory, but anything that makes traveling easier should get attention, and this deserves to get alot."

Shirley Says:
"A must have for my husband so he can stop using my purse for his stuff."

Ruth Says:
"I'll echo Shirlies comments. If a guy like my husband doesn't want to carry a bag, this is a terriffic solution. A place for glasses, bottle of water, keys, wallet, passport, phone & iPad. "

 Shelves to Go

Shelves to Go

The Good:

Easy way to organize your hotel room.

"I had a chance to use these in Chicago recently, and was impressed with the way they allowed me to keep my stuff off the counters. For those concerned with bedbugs, this is definitely a travel accessory worth considering."

Jen Says:
"I've never liked using the drawers in hotels, so this is a great & simple way to give yourself an easier way to un-pack in the room."

Ruth Says:
"I haven't used them myself, but they sure have become popular!"

 Briggs Riley Baseline 24" Spinner

Briggs & Riley 24

The Good:

Four wheels and a true warranty.

"Has anything else been built this light, this easy to manoeuvre and still have a warranty against airline damage? If its out there, I haven’t seen it."

Jen Says:
"Glides through Airports with zero weight on you hands. I’m really impressed they were able to get the weight down to this level, and not compromise their famous Briggs & Riley quality. The size is great and should safely keep you under Airline weight restrictions."

Ruth Says:
"The best 4 wheel softside I’ve seen. If my 24” Transcend ever wears out, I’ll be looking at this as a replacement."

 Ogon Wallets
Ogon Wallets

The Good:

Sharp looking way to protect your cards from RFID scanners.

"A great new way to carry your cards. I like the way they look, and the fact they force you to edit out the useless crap everyone keeps in their wallet."

Jen Says:
"I’m a fan. Organized, compact, and easy to find in the bottom of my purse."

 Samsonite F'Lite
Samsonite F'Lite

The Good:

Plain looking and hard working

Shirley Says:
"I really like the zipper-free way this closes. The rubber seal around the edges make for a very element proof suitcase. Not that the airlines have ever left a bag out on the Tarmac!"

Jon Says:
"Sure its been around a while and has a great track record, but there is one reason people are still interested in this bag. Bed bugs. Because of its zipperless closure, the bag would be the most difficult of any we've seen for a bed bug to get into. The lack of lining also makes it the easiest to clean and wipe out."

 VinniBag
Vinnibag

The Good:

Could an idea like this be bad? Wine anyone?

Shirley Says:
"Who wouldn't like the option of checking through a nice bottle?"

Jon Says:
"I hope Ellen brings that bottle of Grange to work. I hear its good for washing down Pizza."

Peter Says:
"I haven't met a bottle of Wine I didn't like, so long as I have room to bring back Scotch too."

Balanzza Travel Scale

Balanzza Travel Scale

The Good:

Don't give the Airline any more of your money!

Shirley Says:
"Where in the world would I be without my Balanzza scale...I'll tell you:Overweight and out of money. Todays travelers need to battle the bulge, and this little accessory has definitley become a necessity for every trip I take"

Jon Says:
"My favorite scale. Easy to read, comfy to grip, very compact. Remember to ask us to put the batteries in, because the instructions aren't great."

Rimowa Salsa Air 32" Navy

Rimowa Salsa Air 32

The Good:

Room for shoes, finally!

Jen Says:
"I took this for a two week trip to San Fran. Wanting to avoid the United 2nd bag charge, I loaded this thing to 49.6 lbs and avoided the weight restriction too! It wasn't all shoes, and I had a little digital scale with me to be sure I didn't go over, but still, I took more than I could have in any other bag."

Samsonite B'Lite

Samsonite B'Lite

The Good:

I can aford this!

Jon Says:
"A winner from Samsonite. I totally agree about the wheels rolling better than anything else in this price range."

Patagonia MLC

Patagonia MLC

Jon Says:
"If wheels aren't a concern, a really great carry-on. Alot of good packing space that is well organized and allows you to get alot of clothing aboard any plane. I haven't travelled with this bag (yet) but I think the back pack straps on a soft carry-on are a must have and am happy to see them on this piece. If you are someone who would be worried about the bag being too soft and unstructured, a couple of packing folders should solve the concern."

Tumi TriFold

Tumi TriFold

Ruth Says:
A little smaller than some of our other tri-fold garment bags, this bag keeps your garments in better shape and is much easier to get aboard than its bigger competitors. It can be slipped over the handle of most suitcases and has a great front pocket."

Jon Says:
More compact and clean looking than any of our other tri-folds, and although it doesn't pack quite as much, you should have no problem getting this piece aboard. Alot of guys seem to like travelling with this slipped over the handle of their wheeled business case."

Built NY Laptop Sling

Built NY Laptop Sling

The Good:

 Awesome looks, super functional.

Jen Says:
"Every time we get a new Built NY order in, I can't wait to see what the patterns are. This time they really did it with both design and function. Using amazing patterns from Alexander Girard, they have created a sleek, lightweight laptop sleeve with a shoulder strap that can go crossbody."

Briggs & Riley 20" Carry-On

Transcend 20 Inch Expandable Wide-body Carry-On

The Good:

Super capacity, super warranty.

Jon Says:
"Wow. The only drawback to this bag is that it may be a wee bit to wide to roll down the aisle of some planes, but otherwise could be a perfect carry-on. If you need to carry aboard as much as legally possible...........cue the applause. It packs 41 liters! That is 13 liters more space than the standard Transcend carry-on (TDU520), and if that fills up, they offer an expansion that max's the bag out at 53 liters. I know some of you may try and carry it aboard expanded, but if your in my aisle, my jacket hopes you've checked it through."

Shirley Says:

"I think the reasons this bag is selling so well are that it works great for business travelers by giving them the absolute maximum carry-on capacity. It has a built in garment sleeve that extends longer than most for taller gentlemen, so there is no need to check anything through when traveling for a short overnight stay. It can be expanded for the return journey home when you'll need the extra space for shopping, brochures, samples etc. and don't really mind checking."

Eagle Creek Ramble 28

Eagle Creek Ramble 28

The Good:

Lightweight, well organized and doesn't tip over!

Jon Says:
"This should be a serious consideration for anyone travelling to Europe. Light enough that you can keep it under 44 lbs European weight limits (not to mention the 50 lbs North American restriction), narrow enough to pull down a train aisle, tough enough to pull outside of an airport and down a cobblestoned street. My favorite duffel on wheels."

29" Rimowa Deluxe

29 Inch Rimowa Deluxe

The Good:

Incredibly light, incredibly strong, incredibly mobile.

Peter says:
"A great suitcase. I recently had a chance to use this for a 3 week trip to Phoenix and packed to its absolute max, I checked in at 48.5 lbs. I used the brown, and it is a really good looking dark alternative to plain old black"

Ruth says:
"I'm very impressed with the recessed spinner wheels. For winding your way through lineups and airports, it is essentially hassle free and very easy to manouver."

Jon Says:
"This polycarbonate stuff is wild. If weight is a concern, look no further. This and the Salsa series are crazy light. I think Rimowa has set the standard for lightweight hardside and has everyone else playing catch up."

Eagle Creek 18 Pack It Folder

Briggs & Riley Transcend Rolling Tote #TDU325

The Good:

Makes folding easier, but most importantly, prevents your bag from turning into a disaster zone when you are digging for the socks you were sure you had packed. Lots of colors for the uber organized.

Shirley says:
“Garments look like they were professionaly folded when you use the board. It also keeps your bag neat and organized, especially if you are sharing a case and you each have a different color folder.”

Jon says:
“Just about the only packing accessory that I use. A very simple but very smart idea. This thing has changed the way people pack.”

Ruth Says:
"The best system to keep your shirts wrinkle free. Fits perfectly into my 24" Transcend."

Briggs & Riley Transcend Rolling Tote #TDU325

Briggs & Riley Transcend Cabin Bag #TDU115

The Good:

Lightweight, nice wide opening, tall heavy-duty pull handle, fantastic wheels.

Shirley says:
“I like it because it fits onto the RJ’s (regional jets), packs a lot for its size and is one of the few rolling totes to have a couple of outside pockets that can hold a water bottle or folded newspaper.”

Jon says:
“A really smart bag. Like all Briggs bags, you end up with a little more space than you would expect when looking at it, because all of the hardware is on the outside of the bag. I guess for this reason we have sold quite a few of them who travel with Sleep Apnea machines that need to be carried aboard.”

Ruth Says:
"Out of all the carry-ons we have, the extra wide opening makes this my favorite rolling tote. None of the rest seem to be as easy to pack and organize."
